Shakil Ahmad is associated with Kalhath Institute as Master craftsman “Ustaad”. The legacy of Zardosi is being carried forward by him as he learnt this form of craft from his father Late Khalil Ahmad. He has trained people in Lucknow, Chandigarh and Hyderabad in embroidery. He has been to places like Saudi, Dubai, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi to work and to learn how this craft has evolved from its initial phase. He is passionately interested in learning cultural history whether it is from book or by travelling to different places.
